>>Lin Heiwa
BASICS
Name:
-First: Lin
-Middle: N/A
-Last: Heiwa
Nickname(s): Sprite
Name Background : Lin doesn’t really have a last name, because, well, her family was never around to tell her. But in school, it was sorta’ required—so Lin quickly made up one on the spot one day. Heiwa, which means peaceful in Japanese.
Age: Nineteen
Gender: Female
Play-By: Mesia Kuroki
Appearance
Height: 5’3’’
Weight: 117 lbs
Build: Lean
Hair Color: Lin’s hair is a medium brown, but with that hint (because of her Japanese descent) of black.
-Hair Style: Typically straight, but with that edge of wavy—which frustrates Lin to no end.
Skin: Oriental.
General Appearance: Overall, you wouldn’t give Lin a second glance usually. She’s pretty, but not gorgeous. She’s short, but not a midget. Her hair is long, but not unusually styled. Living with the freedom fighters for two years has given her a scrappy and lean look. Any food you, er, accquire-- is split up amoungst the group, especially for the younger kids. So, you never look totally healthy-- but always ready for a fight.
Personality
General Personality: Lin’s typically a quiet girl who definitely thinks before she acts. She’s not the first person you’d notice in a room, as during a situation she remains quiet until she processes it all. However, after the processing—Lin can be quite the motivational speaker. Slow to speak, slow to anger, and quick to listen sums up Lin in a single sentence. She’s usually gentle and somewhat motherly to anyone and everyone—but…
…on the darker side—while Lin may be slow to anger, when she does—anybody within a five-mile radius better scram. Storm clouds will be forming overhead, quite literally—and reasoning with the girl will be to no avail. She has a strong sense of justice and a rage like a mother bear over her cubs.
Lin also is the type of person who can see what needs to be done to get from point A to point B the quickest. Most of the time she knows what is crossing the line, but there’s always the chance that she’ll know what’s wrong and right and ignore it.
Quirks/Mannerisms: Lin has a weird habit of standing on the balls of her feet when approaching new people or situation, as well as hopping from shadow to shadow while moving (‘cause she hates standing in direct sunlight)
Fear(s):
Goal(s) in Life:
History
Family
-Mother: Lillia Perone
-Father: Rae Perone
-Sibling(s): Unknown
-Other Important Family Members: N/A
-Pet(s): Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, Lin doesn’t really have any pets—but she certainly has some friends here and there.
General History: Lin doesn’t really remember most of her childhood. I’ll save you the sob story of Lin the orphan—but she doesn’t remember it at all, so being sad for something that she isn’t sad about it kinda’ pointless—is it not? All Lin really knows is that one-day she woke up to find herself alone, and in a foster home.
No big deal.
She lived there for a few years, occasionally switching houses—never adopted. Then her powers started kicking in around eleven—and Lin was instantly carted off to Markswell’s Academy by her ‘parents’, never loved, confused, and wondering they had looked so scared when she had created bubbles from her orange juice to float in the air. Lin had thought it looked pretty.
Anyways, Lin quickly adjusted to life at Markswell’s—and adjusted to being one of the only students who never went home for the holidays, or never got any letters or phone-calls from home. She seemed invisible, and despite everything she tried to do to get attention and love—getting great grades, joining the swim-team for mutants (and getting AAA times)—no one ever seemed to notice. Learning that the human world would never love her because she was different was one of the most heart crushing moments of Lin’s life.
So upon graduating at seventeen—Lin joined Rick’s freedom fighters. Rick had been one of her closest friends… probably her only real one. Sure she had people she liked to talk to, or asked for her advice on stuff—but Rick said the things that counted, and always seemed to be there when she needed him most.
Somehow finding herself as second-in-command, Lin lived in the complex cave of the freedom fighters—guiding new recruits, and alongside true adopted family, she fought for the rights and freedom of mutants everywhere. (And occasionally taking part in the saving the world stuff)
Power:
-General Description: Lin possesses the ability to manipulate and control any form of water. The science behind this is unknown—as Lin snaps at anyone who comes near her with the intention of finding it out.
-Strengths of Power:
-Weaknesses of Power

Power:
-General Description: Lin possesses the ability to manipulate and control any form of water. The science behind this is unknown—as Lin snaps at anyone who comes near her with the intention of finding it out.
-Strengths of Power:
- There’s water almost everywhere in the world, so Lin rarely has a problem of finding some to use and manipulate.
- Lin has mastered the art of using every molecule of water to it’s full potential. She can stretch a single raindrop into a good foot-long ruler of ice.
- Ontop of manipulating water, Lin can also cause it to freeze or turn into steam.
- Manipulating water has some benefits. Lin can use the water to launch herself into the air, appearing to jump much higher than a normal human. While people believe she might have superhuman agility, it’s mostly Lin’s history, her study of the movements of water, and tiny particles of water moisture in the air giving her an extra boost.
- While Lin cannot breath underwater, she can move it to create an air pocket around herself.
-Weaknesses of Power
- It’s a very physical power, as she cannot move the water without moving her hands or legs. Moving or stopping the water without moving herself is a nearly impossible feat—which would take the girl many more years to master.
- Lin also cannot create water.
- She cannot move water she cannot see without extreme effort, which usually renders her sick.
- Any bending of water will in feel to Lin of actually moving herself a 1/8th of that water’s weight. Some of that movement is willpower and in her head, but most of it has a physical impact on her body.
- Lin’s power is weaker in direct sunlight, as heat is definitely not water.
