>>Erin Kella
BASICS
Name:
-First: Erin
-Middle: Makenna
-Last: Kella
Nickname(s): Babybear, Peasant Girl
Name Background: Erin was named after her mother in a sense, her mother's given name being 'Kaerin'. Her middle name is from her maternal grandmother, Makenna Crannagh. Her first nickname, 'Babybear', is mostly used in her family, as her mother (who stands a staggering 6'8" and has a build not unlike a curvy brick outhouse made of steel) is 'Mama Bear'. Her father doesn't have a related nickname, but that's a long and largely irrelevant story. Her second nickname comes from her affinity for Rennaisance Fair and penchant for wearing clothing at least a bit reminiscent of the medieval era whenever she can get away with it.
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Play-By: N/A
Appearance
Height: 5'
Weight: 115 lbs
Build: Soft, on the curvy side.
Hair Color: Brown.
-Hair Style: Long and straight, roughly knee-length.
Skin: Pale, with freckles. Doesn't tend to burn, but can't tan much.
General Appearance: Erin is very pretty. Not beautiful or gorgeous, she won't draw the attention of an entire room or cause accidents. No, she's got more of a simple appearance, pleasing without being overstated or supremely eye-drawing. Her face is slightly heart-shaped, but mostly round, her nose is on the small side and has a soft round shape, and freckles dust her pale cheeks liberally. Her eyes are a soft gray-blue, and her mouth is a bit broad, lips perhaps a bit thicker than the average. She invariably wears her hair down, long brown locks falling over her shoulders in a shaggy fall that frequently obscures her face. When she can get away with it, she wears tops that would look equally at place in current day and at the Renaissance Faire, usually a white peasant-top blouse with a darker cloth wrapped around her midsection and laced in front, almost corset-like, but never that tight. She is very fond of long skirts, especially of the sort that bell out at least a bit around her legs, and will go barefoot as long as nobody notices. If people seem to be paying attention to it or commenting, though, she'll cover her pale feet with simple leather slippers. As far as jewelry goes, she wears very little- a thin gold bracelet around her right hand and a matching silver bracelet around her left ankle.
Her overall figure is usually hard to discern without a good look, the mass of her hair and skirt going a long way to hide her, along with her small size. Still, a careful look yields a glance at a young woman gaining a very pleasing shape- before she notices she's being stared at and likely turns away or wanders off.

General Personality: Erin is rather shy and reclusive when dealing with people. It is very likely that this is due to some attribute of her mind that makes her different from other people in a manner other than usual for mutants- she's fairly certain she either has ADHD or Asperger's, but her parents, being independently wealthy and lower-upper class, refused to believe this and came up with their own solutions to their daughter's differences. While she disagrees with them, she understands wholly and bears no grudge against them.
In fact, she bears no grudge against -anyone-, apparently incapable of hanging on to anger for very long. Her meekness doesn't help in this, as she tends to stifle any anger she does have in favor of staying out of 'the spotlight'. This is probably a reaction to the sheer number of social events she has had to attend as her parents' second child and therefore second in line for the family inheritance- Controlling interest in a major medical supplier for the East Coast region of the United States and enough money invested and saved to live off of essentially for perpetuity, even including extended family.
At any rate, while she doesn't always agree with the methods of the medicines, the purposes agree with her immensely, and her family allowed her a lot of leeway in terms of pastimes, dress, and hobbies, as she was always polite and well-mannered even if she really had no clue what was going on at the various parties. Generally, her mannerisms were treated with a sort of fond amusement.
Since her mutation triggered, her family has been slightly distant, and she from them- the nature of her mutation has made things a bit hard on her, and her family isn't quite sure what to do with her. Still, her father would never consent to anything bad happening to his family, not that her mother wouldn't have done extremely unpleasant things to him to prevent him from allowing such. Because of this, she was 'sent to a pleasant boarding school on the West Coast' for a deliberately unspecified period of time before her mutation could be discovered.
She knows that she is here to learn to control and apply her mutation, and it may just give her the edge she needs to make it as an heiress without any actual political savvy.
This of course also makes it worth mentioning that while she had everything she wanted growing up, she didn't want much to begin with, and so while she doesn't fit the usual prototype of a spoiled brat, she has been a bit spoiled. She tends to be confused, rather than outraged, when things don't go her way if she expects them to... although, she might get upset enough to sit down and have a cry over it.
Quirks/Mannerisms: Likes to go barefoot when she can get away with it, prefers semi-medieval dress, likes wearing long skirts, prefers to have a book on her wherever she goes, often plays with her hair (which can get pretty interesting considering her mutation), is stronger than her appearance would indicate, but not nearly outside of human norms, clumsy in the sense of knocking things over but rarely if ever stumbles or falls herself, will always take a homeopathic, herbal, or apothecarial remedy over a purely scientific one, a little bit of a crybaby, slightly spoiled, extremely good-natured, more than a little stubborn, quite a bit of a wallflower, and finally, has really poor night vision.
Fear(s): Dying, completely dying (explained later), hurting people emotionally, losing her family, needles, the dark a little, getting drunk, deep ocean.
Goal(s) in Life: Learn how to handle her mutation in a way that will let her help with her family's businesses, find a spouse (or possibly several; see 'Mutation' for an explanation), have at least a couple of children, develop homeopathic and apothecarial remedies into a reliable and commonly used element in medical treatment.
History
Family
-Mother: Kaerin 'Mama Bear' Kella (38)
-Father: Devlin Bryce Kella (37)
-Sibling(s): Janisson Bryce Kella (Older brother, 20)
-Other Important Family Members: Erin Krenshaw, Maternal Grandmother (55); Derrick Kella, Paternal Grandfather (62); Alia Kella, Paternal Grandmother (60)
-Pet(s): None.
General History: Erin was born in Pennysylvania, and spent most of her time growing up either traveling with her family between their holdings or living in one of their several large homes, all of them out in the midst of farmland. She has long since taken her mother's admonishment that 'we all come from the roots that grow in these farms' to heart, and in her own slightly off-kilter way has come to understand and appreciate the people who do the grunt work of society. She even participates when she can, understanding such work much better than most children of her social class. Unlike her peers, she actually likes doing hard work herself, and has a reputation in places where her family has houses that is quite good.
Her mutation expressed itself the first time, luckily, while she was at home, so the news has not had to be suppressed- it never got out to begin with. It helps that, like herself, her mutation is not terribly flashy or showy... most of the time. This has allowed her father to spare no expense to send her to the school, hoping that she will be able to restrain but still use her mutation to her advantage.
Power: Subdivision
-General Description: Erin has the ability to split herself into two whenever she wishes. This allows her a power long attributed only to saints and monks- the ability of multilocation. Each of her bodies is the same size as each of the others, and she loses no mass in dividing- though she has to make that up with eating afterwards, over the course of several days. Her consciousness is not copied, nor do her new bodies have new consciousnesses- instead, her mind is somehow shared between all of her selves. Additionally, when she copies herself, she also copies any organic materials she is wearing at the time (allowing her some modesty as long as her clothes are made of the right material) and any pure-metal objects up to a couple of pounds of total weight in pure metal. The metal objects, however, dissolve if they are separated from her thereafter, or if that Erin should die. Another worthwhile note is that as she shares consciousness between all her bodies, she shares all sensations between her bodies- though, so long as she has at least one body still alive, she does not die.
-Strengths of Power(s) Thanks to her subdivision, Erin can be in multiple places at once and do multiple things at once- or, better yet, be her own team of workers or players. For whatever reason, splitting her mental attention this way does not in any way hinder her, it is suspected that this is a part of her mutation. Her bodies do not appear to be biologically linked, so if one of her falls ill, is injured, or (heavens forbid) dies, the others do not also suffer the same, though they seem to all feel the same physical sensations attached to whatever happened.
-Weaknesses of Power(s) Because all of Erin share sensations, it is possible to distract the rest of her by distracting one of her, and feelings such as nausea carry over from one to another. Dying is apparently an especially traumatic experience, and seems to cause her remaining selves immense psychological shock, often rendering all of her catatonic or unresponsive for several minutes. Each of her bodies also needs to be fed and cleaned, and sleep as well, so space and food issues can arise. For whatever reason, she is apparently incapable of un-dividing, so if she splits, she is more or less stuck with her new number of selves. Finally, if one of her dies, because it is a real body, it becomes a real corpse, and does need to be dealt with. Erin has grown, because of these traits, extremely reluctant to replicate without a strong need, and tends to be frightened of anyone who is responsible for her death.
