Outside the city boundries lies a humungous forest. There are thousands of things to do here, as long as you don't stray off the major trails. Then it can get dangerous...

Awesome for splashing around in the summer, though not so much in the winter-- for despite the sandy shores (with outcrops begging to be explored), it snows here in the winter, which can be quite a sight to see!

Are you a daredevil? Then you might be spending an awful lot of time in this room. It's just what you expect in a school infirmary-- white walls, dark blue cots, private bathroom, shelves full of pills.

The 'hall' is the third floor of Markswell's High Academy. There is every weapon imaginable, a wall lined with mirrors, an indoor football field, everything a growing mutant could wish for to train his or her powers.

As boring as they may seem, this is a school, and as a school, it has to have normal classes. There aren't any classes for powers, but if you have questions about your power, feel free to ask Markswell.

These are the dorms-- your personal living space for the next, oh, couple of years or so. You get a new dorm every year.

RULES: No drugs, no alcohol, and no, erm, intercourse. You’re supposed to have the lights off by midnight, but hardly anyone listens to that one. Students of the opposite gender are allowed in your dorms-- provided the doors stay open and at least one of the teachers for your dorm knows about it. Laundry is to be put outside the doors in the hamper by ten every Tuesday morning. It will be picked up and returned to you by Friday afternoon, clean and folded.

Pool and foosball tables, overstuffed armchairs, computers… What more could a Lower School-er ask for?

Ah, yes. The Infirmary. Just like the school nurse at your elementary school. Except, ya know. This nurse is a mutant. With healing abilities.

Not really a hall as much a giant building containing every weapon and household object imaginable, not to mention an indoor football field, the Training Hall is where mutants learn to control their powers.

Yes, classes. It's not quite at the level of the upper school classes, more like a junior-high class. Because that's exactly what they are. Just the four core classes. If you have questions about your power, feel free to ask Markswell.

Horses snort happily from the stalls, their noses buried in hay or oats. There is a name on every stall, and below the horse's name (on a separate smaller metal plaque) is the name of the student that rides that particular horse. A tack-room is off to the side, with a saddle and a bridle for every horse, with the horse's name engraved on each. Grooms take care of the horses if-and-when a student fails to care for his or her mount.

A small, sparkling lake (more of a pond, really) is tucked in a corner of the grounds, near the center of the forest. Lily pads float lazily on the surface. A waterfall brings the aqua-colored water from the lake toward the system of rivers that criss-crosses the forest.

A quarter-mile ring runs inside a fence. There's a room with stopwatches that you can check out before starting your run, if you so wish.
